Soror Nikita Smith attended the Phi Beta Sigma 95th Annual International Conclave including the Wall Raising Ceremony where a check was presented for $85,000 to build a new home in partnership with New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity (NOAHH). The funds presented by Phi Beta Sigma will go to pay for the land, building materials and sub-contractors for a new New Orleans Habitat home which will begin construction in July. Soror Smith was also very fortunate to meet the outgoing and incoming International Presidents, Paul L. Griffin, Jr. and Jimmie Hammock, in addition to the Phi Beta Sigma Directors for the Western and Great Lakes regions, and several other members of the Phi Beta Sigma General Board. Soror Smith had the opportunity to be present for the video acceptance of the Honorable William Jefferson Clinton as an honorary member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
