The Mu Sigma Zeta Chapter was chartered on April 5, 2984 by five women of purpose. The first to decide that there should be a chapter was Soror Theresa Asbury-Ware. By chance Soror Ware met Soror Katherine Hardie in a store. They met every Saturday at Soror Ware’s home in Scripps Ranch until the chapter was formed.
