On May 13, 2009, the women of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorparated, Mu Sigma Zeta Chapter, donated several African American books to the library of Pt. Loma Nazarene College. In the weeks amd months prior to this night, all the members of the chapter collected or purchased books primarily focused on African Americans or the African American culture to donate to the library. The event was held in the Draper Upper Conference room on the main campus of Pt.Loma. The program began with a scripture reading and Welcome from Soror Patricia Frances and the history of Zeta by Soror Hope Mitchell. There were 2 selections from the first Lady of Soror Frances's church as well as words from a current Pt. Loma college student. The event ended with the book presentation to the college library staff.
Once again, this event was a success and we received plenty of positive feedback and support from the college staff.
